    Job Description:

    As part of Hasbro Entertainment, Boulder Media is building a new feature animation division. We will be producing the first CG theatrical feature film made entirely in Ireland. The movie is based on a very well-known Hasbro property and we can’t wait to bring it to the big screen for the first time.

    Requirements:



    • 3+ years of experience in feature animation.

    • Demonstrate strong technical skills in 3D animation

    • Strong knowledge of acting, posing, weight, timing, animal and human motion.

    • Ability to work within a team, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines with production.

    • Must communicate well and be able to take notes and direction.

    • Have a good technical understanding of models and rigs.

    • Knowledge of Maya





    Responsibilities:





      • Working directly with Animation Director giving notes and attending dailies.

      • Lead and mentor small teams.

      • Help maintain the level of the animation for the seq.

      • Organizing work according to priorities and deadlines.

      • Following artistic and technical guidelines.

      • Involving yourself in key decisions that would affect your department.

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a CG Character Modeller and Rigger to join the team here at Thud Media in the New Year. We have a couple of projects that require someone with experience in getting game ready characters modelled and prepped for animation – the target being Unity in this case, although Unreal is also in use.

    Requirements:


    • Rigging demo reel that showcases aspects of the job spec

    • In-depth knowledge and technical proficiency in using Autodesk Maya

    • Demonstrate a clear knowledge of current art pipelines for character creation

    • Knowledge of Unity’s character tools for rig performance testing

    • Texturing ability – Photoshop/Substance

    • Have worked at least 1 shipped title with Unity

    • Team development experience

    • Proactive; able to solve issues effectively

    Responsibilities:


    • Modelling characters based on 3D reference/2D turnarounds to a high standard

    • Match existing art style with efficient use of tris

    • Rigging and skinning characters to meet animation requirements

    • Revise and optimise existing assets

    • Troubleshoot and fix rig issues, collect artistic feedback and fine tune rig behaviour

    • Take on technical challenges, work with initiative and to schedule milestones
